Expandable single pallet expeditionary kitchen
The Expandable Single Pallet Expeditionary Kitchen (E-SPEK) is a self-contained, rapidly deployable field kitchen and sanitation center, integrated into a 463L cargo pallet for sling-load capability. Designed to replace the TEMPER tent-based Single Pallet Expeditionary Kitchen (SPEK), it supports the preparation and serving of both UGR-H&S and UGR-A meals for up to 350 personnel per meal cycle.
Fully aligned with the Air Force’s Agile Combat Employment (ACE) doctrine, the E-SPEK features an expandable shelter that triples in size (3:1 expansion ratio). It includes its own generator and utilizes Babington closed-combustion JP-8 appliances to deliver fresh, high-quality meals in a safe, energy-efficient, and thermally comfortable environment.
The standard appliance suite includes a convection oven, griddle, 30-gallon skillet, tilting heated serving line, field sanitation unit, and a handwashing sink with portable water heater. The E-SPEK can be fully operational within 30 minutes with just three personnel, and multiple units can be combined to scale support for larger operations.
