Powered Multi-fuel Burner (PMB)
The Babington PMB is a front-loaded M-2 replacement system. It is a modular design comprised of a heating sled and an Airtronic Burner. The burner slides into the heating sled with the same mounting arrangement used in the TRH and the M-59 Retrofit. This retains the interchangeability feature and the "one size fits all" concept. The Babington PMB was designed with additional features including complete thermostatic control over the heat output, retractable stock pot holders to safely capture a 15 gallon stock pot and a convenient drop-on stainless steel cooking surface for frying and grilling.
The world's most advanced liquid fuel burner system is also the world's most versatile system. The Babington PMB Sled (Powered Multi-Fuel Burner), which features the legendary Babington Airtronic® Burner, combines ruggedness, high performance, and total interchangeability, with both new and existing military applications. For instance, the same Airtronic® Burner that is featured in the PMB Sled, also powers the highly successful USMC Tray Ration Heater, that has been deployed worldwide since 1995.
The proven Babington Airtronic® Burner used with the PMB Sled not only surpasses all other burners in the M-59 range, but is also used with the TRHS (Tray Ration Heating System), as well as the FSU (Field Sanitation Unit). The PMB sled is also be used to power a Portable Hot Water Heater , a Compact Portable Space Heater, as well as a stand-alone Stock Pot Heater and Griddle Surface.
All of the above mentioned systems operate with the same highly reliable, smoke and odor free operation, as the Airtronic® Powered TRHS now is use by the USMC.
